LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A plot of land off Citation Boulevard and McGrathiana Parkway will be the site of a new Amazon facility that will bring same-day delivery to Central Kentucky for the first time.

The retail giant announced plans today for a new 224,000-square-foot Same-Day Delivery facility in Lexington.

The site is expected to launch in 2027.

Once operational, central Kentucky Prime members will have access to one- and three-hour delivery on millions of everyday items, fresh groceries and prescription medications.

The new facility is projected to create 150 full- and part-time jobs starting at an average of $23 an hour.
