Inside Tennis-Themed Influencer Activations from Amazon Canada

September 4, 2026

TORONTO—As the US Open heats up in NYC, another tennis tournament just wrapped up. The National Bank Open, presented by Rogers, took place at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto Aug. 1–13.

And just like other major sporting events, it featured influencer-centric experiences.

Amazon Canada teamed up with Vancouver-based Black Label Designs and BLD Collective to create two activations—the Serving Challenge and a suite experience at the stadium—as part of the Amazon Influencer Program’s campaign, which featured Canadian tennis player Leylah Fernandez.

Rather than watching from the sidelines, the Serving Challenge with Fernandez, which was held at a private residence on Aug. 3, allowed the invited creators to get in on the tennis action, said Pria Rajput, founder and creative director of Black Label Designs, as well as engage with brand partners including L’Oreal, Biolage, Garnier, MIO, Newell, and Thayers.

On site, L’Oréal hosted a recovery lounge; Biolage, a popsicle stand; Garnier, a juice bar; and Mio, a hydration station.

On Aug. 4 and 5 at the stadium, the creators had a courtside view inside a suite built out specifically for creating high-quality content. Products from each of the sponsors were on display in the suite.
