Kayode Akinmade, the special adviser to Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun state, says his principal has created an enabling environment for investments to operate with confidence in the state.

Speaking with journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun capital, on Sunday, Akinmade said Abiodun’s political maturity and infrastructure development has created a stable and business-friendly environment in Ogun.

The special adviser said Abiodun is playing politics without acrimony, adding that his approach towards politics is anchored on “maturity and commitment to the larger interest of Ogun state”.

He said Abiodun understands that political differences should not be allowed to destroy communities.

“Governor Abiodun plays politics without acrimony. He understands that political differences should not be allowed to destroy relationships, communities or the larger society,” Akinmade said.

“His approach is anchored on political maturity, restraint and a commitment to the larger interest of Ogun State.

‘He has consistently avoided actions that could overheat the polity because he understands that peace and stability are essential to development.”

The special adviser said the administration of Abiodun has evenly distributed developmental roads across the state.

He added that investments in roads and other critical infrastructure, healthcare, education, housing, and agriculture had been extended across the three senatorial districts.

“The governor understands that investors need stability, predictability and an environment where businesses can operate with confidence. His administration has deliberately created that environment,” he said.

“That is why Ogun State is increasingly being regarded as a destination for investment, enterprise and economic opportunities.

“A trailblazer does not merely occupy office; he changes the trajectory of the place he leads.

“Governor Dapo Abiodun is changing the trajectory of Ogun State. He has shown that a government can pursue ambitious development while maintaining peace, political stability and responsible engagement with all stakeholders.”

Akinmade said the governor has changed the way Ogun sees itself and the way others perceive the state, adding “that is one of the enduring marks of his leadership”.
