LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Amazon announced plans to expand its same-day delivery to Louisville.

The online retailer is opening a 324,000-square-foot facility on Air Commerce Drive, which is off Outer Loop near I-65.

The investment will create more than 200 jobs.

Amazon said the operation will support its recently introduced one-hour and three-hour delivery services, in addition to free same-day delivery on qualifying purchases for Prime members.

Since introducing same-day delivery to Prime members in 2015, the service has expanded to more than 9,000 U.S. cities and towns.
